Your 8 Day Cruise Itinerary

Before Coming:
It is recommended to travel with a passport but you can travel with your original birth certificate and phone id (16+). See the cruise website for the latest protocols regarding vaccination and testing requirements. Travel insurance is an additional cost and is recommended 

Day 1

Board In Galveston, TX

Sunday, March 17

Day 1: We depart from Galveston Texas aboard the Royal Caribbean’s finest Harmony of the Seas. Harmony of the Seas was named “Best Cruises Ship” in the 2018 Travel Weekly Readers’ Choice Awards.  It is one of the worlds largest ships and is full of unforgettable family adventures. We recommend being on the ship by 1 PM. The ship leaves at 4:00 pm, don’t be late! After dinner, we will get together for the cruise kickoff event with the other Hi 5 Live guest and featured presenters.  We will get a chance to get to know each of our featured presenters and their family. We will also discuss what we are going to be seeing and doing throughout the week. (You won’t want to miss this meeting)

Day 2

Monday, March 18

Day 2: We will be at Sea all day today. This cruise ship is one of the largest and most impressive ships on the sea.

We have an area booked just for us!  This morning we will be using the room to conduct a devotional relating to the Book of Mormon.  Each morning those optional devotionals will be lead by one of our amazing special guests. Tonight we will hold a fireside.  Our topic from President Nelsons talk “The Book of Mormon: What Would Your Life Be Like without It?” 

Day 3

Onboard Activities

Tuesday, March 19

Day 3: Much like Monday we will begin the day with a devotional from the Book of Mormon and a share of your favorite verses with other guests. On this day we will take full advantage of the onboard activities and enjoy the provided options. I personally recommend the spa and the boardwalk.  The theme of the events will be from the title page of The Book of Mormon “the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God”

Day 4

Roatan Honduras

Wednesday, March 20

Day 4: We are offering two group excursions for this day.

Option 1:  Zip Lining, Monkey Park, Chocolate Factory, Snorkeling  Take a tour of the island while being escorted from the ship to your high flying adventure!  Catch the picturesque views from high above the island while you zip over, under, and through the jungle!  This tour includes a thrilling zipline, entrance to a monkey park, and then board a small boat to take us out a few hundred yards to some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean Cost for this option is $115 per person.

Option 2:  Spend the day relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches in all the Caribbean!  Included with this option is a tour of the island while traveling from the ship to the shore, a welcome drink, access to the beach resort amenities, and a reserved lounge chair.  Snorkeling gear is available for an additional cost, or bring your own!  The price for this option is $65 per person.

Day 5

Costa Maya

Thursday, March 21

Day 5:
Option 1: We will spend our time with a local professional guide who is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on an adventure to Chacchoben Mayan ruins departing from Costa Maya Port near Cancun and visit a fascinating site full of history and culture! Experience the diverse wildlife of the surrounding jungle as well. Enjoy climbing on Mayan temples and ruins and learn about this incredible civilization and their possible connection with the people of the Book of Mormon! They will safely pick us up right by the Cruise ship and bring you back in time for your departure. Round-trip transport from the port in an air-conditioned minivan is included in the tour. Light snack and water provided

Total time of the tour: 4 hours approximately.

Option 2: Visit Bacalar, commonly known as the ‘Seven Color Lagoon,’ with this adventure, which includes round-trip transportation from right by the Costa Maya port. You’ll take a guided kayaking tour through the waters, spend time swimming and hiking, and get the chance to dine on an included fajita lunch as you look out over the lagoon. 

Day 6

Cozumel, Mexico

Friday, March 22

Day 6: We will spend our time with a local professional guide who is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, visiting the picturesque ancient city of Tulum. This is a great spot for Book of Mormon enthusiasts! The city of Tulum is covered in depictions of the Mayan religious beliefs that correlate with the religious beliefs taught in the Book of Mormon. Tulum is home to the Temple of the Descending God. We will spend our time learning about Tulum by reading our scriptures!

This excursion is purchased in addition to the cruise fare.  The excursion price is per person and includes air conditioned transportation, lunch, entrance fees, and personal tour guides.  The price for the tour of Tulum is (TBD) which includes all transportation, entrance fees, personal tour guide, and lunch.

Day 7

Onboard Activities

Saturday, March 23

Day 7: We will be at Sea all day traveling back toward the United States. You will have a chance to enjoy anything and everything you have not had time to do on the ship. Also, we have an area booked just for us this day! We will start with a morning devotional and recount the coming forth of the Book of Mormon as told through Church History stories and talk about our tours in the summer.  Our evening fireside will be hosted by David Palmer, an owner, and led by Al Carraway with a focus on how we can make the Book of Mormon become more personal and real in our everyday lives.

Day 8

Home

Sunday, March 24

Day 8: Our ship docks back in Galveston Texas at 8:00 am. It’s best not to schedule any flights home before 1 o’clock.
